Below you will find answers to many common questions about Giving Tuesday.
Why should I participate?
Here at NKU, we’re celebrating Giving Tuesday a little differently. We want to make this day all about highlighting the reasons why NKU is an institution worthy of support- and we hope our fellow Norse all across the country will join in by sharing why they love and support us as well. Please take a few minutes to choose a sign, grab a Sharpie, and you’re on your way to completing your good deed for the day!
Do I need to change my privacy settings?
In order for your post to show up on our social media feed on the NKU Giving Tuesday page, you will need to mark your profile settings “public” on all platforms.
What if I don’t have a Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn, etc.?
Not a Twitter user? No problem! We want you to use all your social media accounts to share our message, but we do not expect you to create a brand new account solely for this purpose. Share on the platforms where you are most active and comfortable.
Do I have to make a donation to participate?
You are more than welcome to make a donation to support your favorite department or program on campus, but it is not required for participation. We simply ask that you share your photo on your social media accounts and use #NKUGivingTuesday in the post.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes. All philanthropic contributions to NKU are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Will I receive a receipt for my contribution?
Yes. We will send you a receipt for your contribution shortly after you make your gift.
